Five things Aura Dental loves about Invisalign
At Aura Dental we offer our patients great dental care and the opportunity to work with some of the top dental brands. Getting braces can feel like a big commitment but one where the results can have a significant impact on your life. The process is easier if you choose the right braces in St John’s Wood which is why, at Aura Dental, we offer Invisalign in many cases. These are just some of the reasons why:
Invisalign are see-through
Many patients are concerned about the impact that braces in St John’s Wood might have on their look during treatment. Life doesn’t stop while your teeth are being straightened and it is understandable if you are concerned about the impression you make in the meantime. Invisalign are made from clear, BPA-free plastic and they sit close to the teeth. This means that, to the casual observer, they appear to be invisible.
Invisalign are comfortable
All teeth straightening creates some sensation in the mouth. This is a natural result of moving the teeth. However, Invisalign aligners are smooth on the outside so this means that they are comfortable for the inside of your cheeks.
Your aligners are made especially for you
Each patient is different and will take a unique path to a straight smile. We take moulds and images when you start your treatment and send them off to Invisalign. These are used to create a set of aligners that will move your teeth gradually from their current positions to the places you want them to be.
You can take Invisalign out to eat
Invisalign aligners are removable. Although you still need to wear them for upwards of 22 hours a day for them to be effective, you can take them out while you eat. This means that there are no restrictions to your food choices as there can be with other types of braces in St John’s Wood.
Once your course of treatment is finished, you just stop using the aligners and get a retainer
At the end of treatment, patients get s retainer, which is similar to aligners but made from slightly different material and their job is to retain the result after teeth have been aligned in correct position.
